2-phenyl-4, 4, 5, 5,-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl 3-oxide (PTIOs) derivatives react with nitric oxide (NO) to yield the corresponding imino nitroxides (PTIs) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
