How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. Would it be suitable for biochemical applications, such as preparing a buffer solution for bacterial treatment? Or would it be preferable to order a ready-to-use 1M solution (ex. M1028)?

Product M8266 can be used in buffer preparation. The salt can be selected if you require a solution at a specific concentration that is not commercially available. This would require you to also have access to a suitable water source. If you decide to choose a solution this would reduce your preparation time. It is necessary to determine if a specific volume and concentration is required for the intended application.
