The gene GPR15 (G protein-coupled receptor 15) encodes a chemokine receptor for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 and 2 and may function in the pathogenesis and transmission of HIV-1. It is involved in the regulation of immune homeostasis by controlling homing of Tregs specifically to the large intestine mucosa.
