General description

Leucine-rich repeat and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1 (LRRCC1) is a 1032 amino acid, 120kDa protein. It contains leucine-rich repeat and coiled-coil domains. LRRCC1 is present with the centrosomes throughout the cell cycle and accumulates during mitosis.

Application

Biochem/physiol Actions

Leucine-rich repeat and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1 (LRRCC1) takes part in the maintenance of the structural integrity of centrosomes and contributes to spindle bipolarity. Organization of the mitotic spindle is also dependent on LRRCC1.
