Protein DM4E3 (C11orf24) is a 449-amino acid protein which has a signal peptide at the N-terminal end and a transmembrane domain in the C-terminal region. It is localized to the Golgi apparatus and the trans-Golgi network. C11orf24 cycles to the plasma membrane through endosomes in a pH dependent manner. The gene encoding this protein is located on chromosome 11q13.
