Anti-ABCB1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas
ABCB1 (ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1), a member of the ATP binding cassette superfamily of transporter proteins, encodes a broad specificity efflux pump (P-glycoprotein). It acts as a major gate-keeper at the blood-brain barrier (BBB), protecting central nervous system against the accumulation of many toxic xenobiotics and drugs. It also regulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) system. It restricts the intracerebral path for glucocorticoid hormones to modulate the activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) system.
