General description

Homosalate is a UV filter that protects the skin from the harmful effects of UVB (280-315 nm) and UVA II (315-340 nm) radiations. It is widely utilized in make-up, sunscreen and topical formulations.
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.

Homosalate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography methods.
