Aplicación

Gelatin methacryloyl can be used to form cross-linked hydrogels for tissue engineering[1] and 3D printing[2][3][4]. It has been used for endothelial cell morphogenesis[5], cardiomyocytes[6], epidermal tissue[7], injectable tissue constructs[8], bone differentiation[9], and cartilage regeneration[10]. Gelatin methacryloyl has been explored in drug delivery applications in the form of microspheres[11] and hydrogels[12].

Hydrogels can provide a suitable environment for tissue formation by embedded cells, which makes them suitable for applications in regenerative medicine. However, hydrogels possess only limited mechanical strength, and must therefore be reinforced for applications in load-bearing conditions. In most

Natural hydrogels are promising scaffolds to engineer epidermis. Currently, natural hydrogels used to support epidermal regeneration are mainly collagen- or gelatin-based, which mimic the natural dermal extracellular matrix but often suffer from insufficient and uncontrollable mechanical and degradation properties. Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. Is this product sterile or not, how to sterilize it?

    1 answer
    1. This product is not sterilized. Sterilization can be achieved by passing a solution through a 0.2 μm PES syringe filter.

  2. Can you provide guidance on reconstituting the GelMA purchased from Sigma? There is no protocol available online.

    1 answer
    1. There is no protocol available for reconstituting or testing the solubility of the product 900622.
Here is some information on solubility:
1.Mix LAP in 3 ml of PBS or cell media at 60°C under stirring to create a 0.5% w/v LAP concentration.
2.Mix until all LAP is dissolved. Add GelMA to the solution to create a 10% w/v concentration.
3.Mix at 60°C under stirring until all GelMA is dissolved.
