Descripción general

α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid is the commonly used matrix for analyzing peptides by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry.[1] It inhibits the monophenolase activity and diphenolase activity of mushroom tyrosinase.[2]

Aplicación

α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (CHC) was used in encapsulation of CHC into NaY zeolite.[3] It was used as matrix to investigate the activity of the paclitaxel derivatives using several well-established in vitro angiogenesis assays.[4]

    1. This product is not tested or intended for use in Maldi-TOF. This item is generally used in organic chemical synthesis. While this material may be suitable, there are other options available that have been qualified for use in MALDI applications. Please see the link below to review these products:

  3. What can be used for solublization of α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid?

    1. α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (α-CCA, α-CHCA, α-Cyano, 4-HCCA, ACCA) is soluble in methanol (up to 50 mg/ml). It is also soluble at 10 mg/ml using 50% acetonitrile in 0.05% TFA for MALDI-MS. The acetonitrile concentration can be adjusted for individual preferences.For biological applications, it has been solubilized at 100 mM in DMSO or 50 mM in ethanol.
