Iscove′s Modified Dulbecco′s Medium, With sodium bicarbonate and L-glutamine, liquid, sterile-filtered, suitable for cell culture, suitable for hybridoma
Iscove′s Modified Dulbecco′s Medium contains selenium, additional amino acids and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) buffer, and potassium nitrate instead of ferric nitrate, and is a modification of Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s medium (DME). Iscove′s medium can be used to support murine B lymphocytes, bone marrow hemopoietic tissue, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes, and various hybrid cells.
Application
Iscove′s Modified Dulbecco′s Medium has been used to culture:
human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell line HepG2 as monolayers[1]
In this work we analyzed the immune activation properties of different Bifidobacterium strains in order to establish their ability as inductors of specific effector (Th) or regulatory (Treg) responses. First, we determined the cytokine pattern induced by 21 Bifidobacterium strains
Metformin is a hypoglycaemic agent used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) patients, with a broad safety profile. Since previous epidemiological studies had shown that the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) decreased significantly in metformin treated DM2 patients, we

Recent advances in cell biology and gene regulation suggest mechanisms whereby associative learning could be performed by single cells. Therefore, we explored a model of classical conditioning in human macrophages in vitro. In macrophage cultures, bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS; unconditioned stimulus)
