General description

Methimazole belongs to the chemical class of thioureylene compounds, used as an anti-thyroid drug in the management of hyperthyroidism.

Application

Beclomethasone dipropionate analytical standard can be used as follows:

  • Silver/graphene-modified carbon-paste electrode (AgGCPE) based electrochemical determination of methimazole
  • Development of a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) based method to estimate propylthiouracil and methimazole using sodium alginate-protected silver nanoparticles as SERS substrate
  • Detection of methimazole at ultra-trace limits using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy based on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) substrate
  • Quantitative analysis of human blood samples for methimazole using high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric (HPLC-MS/MS) method
  • Electrochemical determination of methimazole in pharmaceutical tablet and human blood serum samples by molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)- pencil graphite electrode (PGE) based sensor
