General description
A water-soluble and stable nitric oxide (NO) donor (t½ = 28.5-30.2 hr). Glyco-SNAP-1 is more stable than SNAP (Cat. No. 487910) in aqueous solution with or without EDTA and is relatively stable at high pH (pH 8-9). The SNAP moiety acts as an NO group donor and the sugar fragment provides hydrophilicity and specificity. Compared to SNAP, glyco-SNAP-1 decomposes much more slowly in the presence of thiols such as cysteine or glutathione.
