General description
The Whatman ReZist range of syringe filters has been specifically designed to be resistant to organic solvents. These filters are ideal for the clarification of aggressive organic solvents. ReZist 30 mm filters can also be used as a venting filter for small vessels.
ReZist for HPLC sample preparation features
- Hydrophobic PTFE membrane is laminated with polypropylene
- 13 mm diameter with Mini-Tip
- 13 mm diameter with extremely low dead volume < 10 μ
ReZist for air venting features
- Integral, permanently hydrophobic PTFE membranes
- Polypropylene support
Puradisc syringe filters for routine syringe filtration
Puradisc syringe filters cater to a wide variety of sample types and applications, including capillary electrophoresis, biological preparations, protein filtration, and UV spectroscopy sample preparation. Different Puradisc membrane media support diverse chemical solvents and compounds.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) syringe filter options
Cytiva′s Puradisc PTFE syringe filter is a hydrophobic membrane that is chemically stable and inert. It exhibits low protein binding, and its main application is filtration of non-aqueous samples. Prior to filtering of aqueous samples, the membrane must be pre-wetted with a water-miscible organic solvent.
Puradisc is available in the following membrane materials: regenerated cellulose (RC), cellulose nitrate, nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyethersulfone (PES), polypropylene, polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), and cellulose acetate.
