Gene Information

human ... ITGA2(3673)

Specificity

Human alpha2 integrin subunit. Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of 35S methionine labeled endothelial cells. The epitope recognized is on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein and is thus intracellular. Shows no cross-reactivity to alpha1, alpha3, alpha4, alpha5, alpha6, or alphaV subunits.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide derived from the COOH terminal sequence (cytoplasmic domain) of the human alpha2 integrin subunit {KYEKMTKNPDEODETTELSS}

Application

Anti-Integrin α2 Antibody detects level of Integrin α2 & has been published & validated for use in ELISA, IF, IH, IP, RIA & WB.
Immunofluorescence: 1:500 (suggested for use on acetone-fixed tissue only)

ELISA/RIA: 1:1000

Western blot: 1:1000 The antibody has been used to report alpha2 expression in HUVECs during tubule-like structure formation in collagen (Deroanne, 1996). Recognizes ~160kDa alpha 2 subunit

Immunoprecipitation: 5 μL precipitates alpha2/beta1 from 5 x 106 cells.

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Core 3 O-glycan is very short glycan structure which is composed of one N-acetylglucosamine and one N-acetylgalactosamine. The core 3 O-glycan structure is synthesized by core3 synthase (beta 1, 3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 6) using UDP-N-acetylglucosamine as substrate. We revealed that the core
