It may be used in the synthesis of 4-(ethylaminodithiocarbamate) methylpyridine diorganotin derivatives. It may be used in the synthesis of {[ethyl(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)carbamothioyl]sulfanido-κ2 S,S′}(1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane-κ6O)potassium.
