Application

BAC is used as a reversible cross-linker for polyacrylamide gels, to simplify isolation of macromolecules separated on the gels. The disulfide linkage can be broken with a suitable reducing agent. A 1-g slice of a 4% (12:1) gel will dissolve in 5 mL of 100 mM DTT in TBE (pH 8.3) in less than 30 min.
BAC is used as a reversible cross-linker for polyacrylamide gels. The disulfide linkage can be broken with a suitable reducing agent. A 12:1 ratio of acrylamide:BAC is recommended for DNA purification. A one gram slice of a 4% gel will dissolve in 5 mL of 100 mM DTT, TBE solution (pH 8.3) in less than 30 min. The pH of 8.3 is optimum for rapid dissolution of the gel.

We recently identified a novel susceptibility variant, rs865686, for estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer at 9q31.2. Here, we report a fine-mapping analysis of the 9q31.2 susceptibility locus using 43 160 cases and 42 600 controls of European ancestry ascertained from 52

The coordination of growth with nutritional status is essential for proper development and physiology. Nutritional information is mostly perceived by peripheral organs before being relayed to the brain, which modulates physiological responses. Hormonal signaling ensures this organ-to-organ communication, and the

Epigenetic changes are being increasingly recognized as a prominent feature of cancer. This occurs not only at individual genes, but also over larger chromosomal domains. To investigate this, we set out to identify large chromosomal domains of epigenetic dysregulation in
