Application

DEAE-Sephadex® A-25 has been used:
  • to form DEAE-Sephadex A-25 (formate form) for glucosinolates (GLS) extraction using horseradish plants
  • in the estimation of GLS content in Chinese kale sprouts
  • production and purification of endozepine from astrocytes
  • to identify and label an insulin-activated nitric oxide synthase inhibitor (protein) in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients

Features and Benefits

  • Weak anion exchanger
  • Suitable for batch techniques
  • High binding capacities
  • Non-reactive to commonly used aqueous buffers additives such as 8 M urea and 6 M guanidine hydrochloride

In this work, a characterization of reagent chromophore 5-(4-sulphophenylazo)-8-aminoquinoline [SPA] by IR and 1H RMN was carried out and a pK(a) value of 3.55+/-0.03 was found as well. An 1:2 stoichiometry for the Cu(II)-SPA complex was determined at pH 9

A requisite step in the biosynthesis of tRNA is the removal of 5' leader sequences from tRNA precursors. We have detected an RNase P activity in yeast mitochondrial extracts that can carry out this reaction on a homologous precursor tRNA.

Abl family kinases have been implicated in the regulation of cell morphogenesis and migration, but the molecular mechanisms through which they operate are not fully elucidated. We applied the bump-hole technique, pioneered by Shokat and colleagues, to identify direct substrates
