B8756 is composed of four different kinds of bile acids - cholic, deoxycholic, chenodeoxycholic and lithocholic acids. Since this product is a mix of bile salts, there is not a molecular weight for the product. You can use the molecular weight of each component and average it - but that will not allow for accuracy in making molar solutions.

Is it used to mimic the physical and physiological properties of bile ?
1 answer-
Yes, bile salts can be used to mimic the physical and physiological conditions of bile in certain applications, but does not reflect the full panel of Bile components. Bile is typically composed of 0.7% bile salts, 0.2% bilirubin, 0.51% fats (cholesterol, fatty acids, and lecithin), and 200 meq/L inorganic salts.
