Application

This SRM is intended to enhance the development of chemical analytical methods for trace elements found in a natural ferro-magnesian silicate glass, which can be used with measurement techniques including laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) and microbeam X-ray fluorescence (μXRF). It can also be used for quality assurance when assigning values to in-house control materials.

Features and Benefits

  • Certified mass fraction values for elements present in SRM 606 are reported on a dry-mass basis and values are metrologically traceable to SI unit of milligrams per kilogram.
  • Reference mass fraction values for Cerium is provided as a mass fraction.
  • Maintenance and expiration of SRM Certification, instructions for storage and use are provided on NIST certificate.

Other Notes

Certified for the analytes listed below.
Barium (Ba), Cobalt (Co), Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu), Lanthanum (La), Lead (Pb), Scandium (Sc), Strontium (Sr), Vanadium (V), Yttrium (Y), Zinc (Zn)

Reference/Informational value is provided for the following analytes. Cerium (Ce)
