Gene Information

human ... LAMA5(3911)

General description

Anti-LAMA5 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LAMA5 protein. Laminin alpha5 (LAMA5) codes for the laminin α5 chain. It is mapped to human chromosome 20q13.2- q13.3. In human skin, LAMA5 is produced and liberated by dermal pericytes.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human LAMA5.

Immunogen Range: 2381-2430

Application

Anti-LAMA5 antibody has been used in immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescent staining.
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Furthermore, studies in mice showed that Lama5 is involved in organogenesis and placental function during pregnancy. LAMA5 may play a role in regulating inter-individual variability in metabolic phenotypes in children. It induces skin regeneration both in vitro and in vivo.
