General description

Sigma′s PCR 50 - 2,000 bp Marker contains 8 dsDNA fragments from 50 – 2,000 bases, evenly spaced. Five μl of the ladder can be loaded directly in a single lane on an agarose or polyacrylamide gel.

Application

PCR 50 - 2,000 bp Marker has been used as a marker for DNA gel electrophoresis.

Components

Sigma′s PCR 50 - 2,000 bp Marker is provided as two tubes:
  • 1 vial (250 μl volume) PCR Marker
  • 1 vial 6× loading buffer (250 μl volume) for diluting samples

Other Notes

Contains 8 bands, 50–2,000 bp in predictably spaced (ladder) double-stranded DNA fragments.
For optimal resolution, the recommended agarose gel concentration is 2.0%.
