Application

  • pH responsive controlled release of anti-cancer hydrophobic drugs from sodium alginate and hydroxyapatite bi-coated iron oxide nanoparticles.: This study explores the use of ammonium iron(II) sulfate hexahydrate in the synthesis of bi-coated iron oxide nanoparticles for pH-responsive controlled drug release. The nanoparticles, coated with sodium alginate and hydroxyapatite, were designed for the controlled release of hydrophobic anti-cancer drugs, demonstrating significant potential for targeted cancer therapy applications (Manatunga et al., 2017).
