2-[(1E,3E)-6-[3-(dimethylamino)pyridine]-1,3-butadien-1-yl]-4,5-dihydro-(4S)-4-thiazolecarboxylic acid sodium salt (DP3-Na) is a new NIR emission luciferin analog having luminescence peak at 670 ~ 680 nm with a peak range in the near-infrared (NIR) region with the enhanced solubility in water.
Luciferin is a generic term for the light-emitting compound found in organisms that generate bioluminescence.
