General description
Arsenic(II) sulfide has been used in thesynthesis of various materials, including chalcogenide zeolite analogs,direct-band-gap semiconductors, and thioarsenates. Arsenic(II) sulfide has alsobeen found to exhibit strong second harmonic generation, making it useful innonlinear optical applications.
Application
Arsenic(II) sulfide has been used in:
- the synthesis of thioaresinates
- the synthesis of chalcogenide zeolite analogs (2)
- the synthesis of direct-band-gap semiconductors
- nonlinear optical applications because of its strong second harmonic generation
