General description

Platinum foils may be used to fabricate multi-electrode spiral nerve cuffs. It was found to be the most active catalyst in the kinetic study of catalytic oxidation of alkanes over platinum foils.

Application

  • Platinum-group elements: This report covers the essential physical and chemical properties of platinum and its related metals, which are vital for applications ranging from automotive catalysts to anticancer drugs (Zientek et al., 2017).
  • Platinum-based drugs for cancer therapy and anti-tumor strategies: This review discusses the development and clinical use of platinum-based chemotherapy agents, highlighting new platinum compounds and their mechanisms of action, crucial for drug discovery and medicinal chemistry (Zhang et al., 2022).
  • Mastering the surface strain of platinum catalysts for efficient electrocatalysis: This article presents research on optimizing the surface properties of platinum for enhanced catalytic efficiency, which is significant for developing new catalytic materials in material science and energy applications (He et al., 2021).

We recently reported that peritumoral CpG-ODN treatment, activating TLR-9 expressing cells in tumor microenvironment, induces modulation of genes involved in DNA repair and sensitizes cancer cells to DNA-damaging cisplatin treatment. Here, we investigated whether this treatment induces modulation of miRNAs

Metal-mediated rearrangements of 3-alkynyl flavone ethers are reported. The overall process involves 5-endo enyne cyclization to a platinum-containing spiro-oxocarbenium intermediate which may be trapped with methanol to produce spirodihydrofurans or further rearranged to afford either allenyl chromanediones or benzofuranones.
