Breast cancer type 2 susceptibility protein (UniProt: P51587; also known as Fanconi anemia group D1 protein, BRCA2) is encoded by the BRCA2 (also known as FACD, FANCD1) gene (Gene ID: 675) in human. BRCA genes (1 and2) produce proteins that help repair damaged DNA. BRCA2 is involved in double-strand break repair and/or homologous recombination. It binds RAD51 and potentiates recombinational DNA repair by promoting assembly of RAD51 onto single-stranded DNA (ssDNA). It acts by targeting RAD51 to ssDNA over double-stranded DNA, enabling RAD51 to displace replication protein-A (RPA) from ssDNA and stabilizing RAD51-ssDNA filaments by blocking ATP hydrolysis. BRCA2 is phosphorylated by ATM upon irradiation-induced DNA damage. Phosphorylation by check point kinases 1 and 2 regulates its interaction with RAD51. Phosphorylation at serine 3291 by CDK1 and CDK2 is reported to be low in the S phase when recombination is active but increases as cells progress towards mitosis. This phosphorylation prevents homologous recombination-dependent repair during S phase and G2 by inhibiting RAD51 binding. Mutations in BRCA2 gene are known to increase susceptibility to breast and cervical cancers. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. 外觀
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
