Early endosome antigen 1 (EEA1) is a peripheral membrane protein, that has two zinc fingers, a C2H2-type at position 41–64 and a FYVE-type at position 1352–1410. It is located in the soma and in the postsynaptic nerve terminals. EEA1 is mapped to human chromosome 12q22.

應用

生化／生理作用

Early endosome antigen 1 (EEA1) plays an important role in vesicle budding, transporting, tethering and docking events in early endosomes. It participates in phagocytosis of fungi.
