General description

Aluminum sulfate hydrate is a hydrated aluminum salt. Aluminum sulfate is widely used in oil and fat processing, paper manufacturing and as a flocculant for water treatment. The kinetics of its dehydration by thermal decomposition has been investigated. It is one of the components of hematoxylin solution. Spherical particles of aluminum sulfate hydrate has been synthesized by prilling technique.

Application

Aluminum sulfate hydrate was used in the synthesis of new high crystalline zeolite materials.
It may be used in the synthesis of Al-doped ZnO nanorods and spherical alumina powders.
