General description

Poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) is a conjugated polymer with hydrophobic properties. PVK films have a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 200°C and are mainly used as hole transport materials for semiconductor application.

Application

PVK can be used for the synthesis of titanium oxide (TiO2) quantum dots fillers that find potential applications as donor-acceptor layers in polymeric solar cells. It may be used to functionalize carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and form conductive reinforcements on epoxy groups. Iridium composites may be surface modified by PVK for the fabrication of highly efficient organic light emitting devices.

Urease was immobilized in mixed monolayers of poly(N-vinyl carbazole) (PNVK) and stearic acid (SA) formed at an air-water interface. The monolayers were transferred onto indium-tin-oxide (ITO) coated glass plates using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film deposition technique. Urease immobilized on PNVK/SA LB
