Questions

  1. Is it(342890) porous silica? I want to know the specific surface area and particle size distribution(dispersity) (Batch number is MKCT1789)

    1 answer
    1. The quality specifications for product no. 342890-100G Silicon dioxide do not include a determination of its specific surface area. Our supplier does characterize the product as porous silica.

As the Certificate of Analysis for lot MKCT1789 shows, the mean particle size is 2.08 microns. Detailed QC testing shows:
      Diameter at 10%: 0.45 microns
      Diameter at 50%: 2.06 microns
      Diameter at 90%: 3.88 microns

Future lots of the product might vary in their particle size characteristics within the quality specification of being no larger than 45.00 microns.
