Human colon adenocarcinoma

Cell Line Description

Colorectal adenocarcinoma which is tumorigenic in nude mice. The four cell lines: DLD-1 (90102540), HCT-15 (91030712), HCT-8 (90032006) and HRT-18 (86040306) have been shown to have a common genetic origin.

Application

HCT-15 cell line has been used to study the role and efficiency of nexrutine (NX), an extract from Phellodendron amurense, against colon cancer.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) (heat inactivated).
