Gene Information

human ... CDH1(999)

General description

Anti-E-cadherin Antibody detects endogenous levels of total E-cadherin protein.
CDH1 (cadherin 1) codes for a transmembrane glycoprotein E-cadherin that is located on human chromosome 16q22.1. It is a tumor suppressor gene, which is also known as Cdh1p/Hct1p, Fizzy-related, Ste9, or Srw1.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human E-cadherin.

Immunogen Range: 1-50

Application

Anti-E-cadherin, N-Terminal antibody has been used in protein extraction, western blotting, confocal fluorescence microscopy analysis, immunostaining and co-immunoprecipitation.

Biochem/physiol Actions

CDH1 (cadherin 1) helps to conserve the homophilic cell-cell adhesion in epithelial tissues. Inadequate expression of CDH1 results in colon cancer and renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
