General description

Virtually all lymphoid and myeloid cells in bone marrow are reactive with the anti-VLA-4 antibody. VLA-4 is absent or minimally detectable on stromal cells. Myeloid cells maintained in Dexter-type long-term cultures of murine bone marrow are positive, as are lymphoid cells from Whitlock-White cultures.

Specificity

Clone PS/2 recognises the murine alpha4 chain of the VLA-4 integrin heterodimer, 150 kDa. The antibody also reacts with human VLA-4.
Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed.

Application

Anti-Integrin α4 Antibody, clone PS/2 detects level of Integrin α4 & has been published & validated for use in FC, IF, IP, IH.

CD4(+) T helper (Th1 and Th2) cell localization to a site of inflammation is important for the development, maintenance and regulation of an immune response. The factors that regulate Th1 and Th2 cell recruitment into tissue are not fully understood.
