Application

β-Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate sodium salt hydrate has been used in the purification and crystallization of CHORD–Sgt1 cytochrome b 5 reductases (CS–b5R). It has also been used as a supplement in Dulbecco′s modified Eagle′s medium (DMEM)/F-12 medium for direct hepatic reprogramming using mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) is an indispensable cofactor that participates in cellular redox reactions. It acts as a hydride-accepting coenzyme and participates in substrate oxidation reactions during metabolism.
