General description

Water suitable for HPLC is commonly used as a solvent for isocratic elution in both cation and anion chromatography. Additionally, it is used as a component to prepare standard stock solutions, and for evaporation under a nitrogen stream in a water bath to concentrate the sample before LC-MS-MS analysis.

Application

Water is used as a:
  • Solvent to prepare buffers during the cell lysis process.
  • Component of the mobile phase during the HPLC–UV–diode-array detection for the separation and detection of the analytes.

N-glycosylation of proteins provides a rich source of information on liver disease progression because majority of serum glycoproteins, with the exception of immunoglobulins, are secreted by the liver. In this report, we present results of an optimized workflow for MALDI-TOF
