General description

Immobilon®-P transfer membrane is a hydrophobic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) microporous membrane with a nominal pore size of 0.45 micron (μm). It is used for the transfer of proteins from a variety of gel matrices. Immobilon®-P transfer membrane is recommended for most western blotting, especially proteins greater than 20 kDa. This membrane displays improved handling characteristics and staining capabilities, a higher signal-to-noise ratio for enhanced sensitivities, and improved solvent resistance, when compared to nitrocellulose membrane.
Primary Binding Mechanisms: Electrostatic, hydrophobic,
Filter Code: IPVH

Application

Immobilon®-P Membrane, PVDF, 0.45 μm, 8.5 cm x 10 m roll has been used in western blot analysis and co-immunoprecipitation.
