General description

Extrelut® NT simplifies liquid-liquid extraction in its most effective form by using a chemically inert, wide-pore and highly pure diatomaceous earth based solid phase. Depending on the sample volume three types of columns are available: Extrelut NT1 can take up a maximum of one ml, Extrelut NT3 three ml and Extrelut NT20 up to twenty ml of sample.

Application

  • Heart failure biomarkers BNP and NT-proBNP detection using optical labels.: This research utilizes EXtrelut NT for the extraction and analysis of heart failure biomarkers BNP and NT-proBNP. The study highlights the role of EXtrelut NT in enhancing the sensitivity and accuracy of biomarker detection using optical labels, which is critical for the early diagnosis and monitoring of heart failure (Goryacheva et al., 2022).

  • Evaluation of the Analytical Performance of BNP and NT-proBNP Assays on the Atellica CI 1900 Analyzer.: This study employs EXtrelut NT to streamline the extraction of BNP and NT-proBNP biomarkers from human plasma and serum samples. The research demonstrates the efficacy of EXtrelut NT in ensuring precise and reproducible results in high-throughput analytical workflows, validating the performance of the Atellica CI 1900 Analyzer in clinical diagnostics (Rhea-McManus et al., 2023).

  • NT-proBNP detection with a one-step magnetic lateral flow channel assay.: This study uses EXtrelut NT to facilitate the extraction and purification of NT-proBNP from whole blood samples. The research highlights the role of EXtrelut NT in achieving high sensitivity and accuracy in NT-proBNP detection using a novel magnetic lateral flow assay, which is crucial for point-of-care diagnostics of heart failure (Strohmaier-Nguyen et al., 2024).

  • Sample-to-answer lateral flow assay with integrated plasma separation and NT-proBNP detection.: This research employs EXtrelut NT in the development of a sample-to-answer lateral flow assay for NT-proBNP detection. The study emphasizes the pack′s role in ensuring efficient plasma separation and high-sensitivity detection of NT-proBNP in clinical blood samples, highlighting its application in point-of-care testing (Strohmaier-Nguyen et al., 2024).
