Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. General description
Application
- Catalyst in the epoxidation of olefins in presence of hydrogen peroxide.
- Dopant in the preparation of ZnO nanorod arrays. The addition of Ga can improve the luminescence quality of ZnO nanorods.
- Precursor to synthesize Ga-MCM-41 materials (mesoporous silicate molecular sieves). Ga-MCM-41 can act as a catalyst in the liquid-phase isomerization of α-pinene.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?
1 answer-
If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

Best, Regarding product 289892, the linear formula is Ga(NO3)3 · xH2O. What is the measured/expected hydration? What is x? This is instrumental to know in order to make solutions of a certain molarity. Thanks a lot,
1 answer-
The amount of water (number of hydrates) present in this product is not determined, however, it can be determined based on the amount of Gallium present.
Below is a formula shown in the image below, a calculation can be performed knowing the amount of metal (indicated i in the lost specific Certificate of Analysis):
For example:
% Gallium - 18.1% // amount of water is x = 7
Calculation: x = [(100 x 69.72 x 1) - (18.1 x 255.74)] / (18.1 * 18.01) = (6972 - 4628.89) / (325.98) = 7.19 = 7Helpful?
