General description

Our high-purity magnesium chips, also called magnesium turnings or granules, are a form of elemental magnesium metal produced by mechanically processing ultra-high-purity magnesium ingots. The process yields material that is 0.5-3.5 mm in size. High-purity magnesium chips are commonly used as a reductant in Grignard reactions for specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural applications. Magnesium chips are also used in the preparation of magnesium alloys, which offer a unique combination of light weight, strength, and corrosion resistance.
