Methyl 12-oxooctadecanoate was used in preparation of methyl hexahydro-3-hexyl-6-thioxo-1,2,4,5-tetrazine-3-undecanoate, hexahydrothioxotetrazine fatty derivative, via reaction with thiocarbohydrazide.
