General description

Ultrafiltration membranes are typically made from regenerated cellulose or polyethersulfone (PES). As a rule, the membrane nominal molecular weight cut-off (NMWCO) should be 2-3 times smaller than the molecular weight of the solute to be retained when using regenerated cellulose.

Application

Ultrafiltration Discs, 30 kDa NMW has been used with Amicon® stirred-cell concentrator for mammalian cell protein purification. It has also been used in ultrafiltration units for xylanase inhibitor fractionation.
