General description
18:1 stigmasteryl glucose comprises 18:0 (oleic) acyl group at the C6 position in the glucose molecule and is an acyl steryl glucoside (ASG). 18:1 (oleic) is a major ASG in Arabidopsis.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Mutation in UDP-glucose:sterol glucosyltransferase (UGT) enzymes deplete the 18:1 (oleic) and other acyl steryl glucoside (ASG) levels.
