Der 500mL und der 1000mL-Blasenzähler kann zur Messung von positiven und negativen Flüssen eingesetzt werden.

Bubble flowmeter is a simple and precise way to measure flow rates of gases. It is the most common device for measuring a volumetric flow rate. This unit has a buret of appropriate volume fitted with rubber bulb at the bottom and a side arm. Air is passed into the buret and the bulb filled with soap solution is squeezed. This causes a soap bubble to enter the buret. The time taken for the bubble to travel in considered as known volume, used to calculate the flow rate.

Application

Bubble flowmeter may be used to manually control the flow at the system outlet during analysis of perfluorobutane (PFB) in the exhaled rat air using respiration-metabolism chamber system and a GC-MS method.[1] Bubble flowmeters can be used to check splitter or detector flow or to calibrate personal pumps for accurate air sampling.
