General description

Eppendorf® Forensic DNA Grade products comply with the sophisticated requirements of forensic DNA laboratories such as promoting automation to minimize the contact between the handler and product, adhering to strict cleaning procedures and protocols, and positive air pressure that blocks dust intrusion. It mainly focuses on the prevention of contamination in forensic DNA analysis. Eppendorf Forensic DNA Grade products are suitable for sample processing, DNA extraction, sample storage, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) setup.

Features and Benefits

  • The hinged Eppendorf® Safe-Lock lid prevents accidental opening of lid during incubation and storage
  • It is made without substances that have been shown to leech from plastic consumables that can contaminate the samples such as biocides, plasticizers, and slip agents
  • The tubes are composed of polypropylene that shows resistance to chemicals, extreme temperatures, and mechanical stress
  • The lid sealing enables minimal evaporation during long-term storage of samples
  • Autoclavable at at 121°C for 20 min
  • Functions between -86 °C to 100 °C
  • Large-frosted lid and surface on the side for labeling
