  2. Please provide user guide for Z264946 Aldrich® glass pH electrode.

    1 answer
    1. A user guide is not available for this product. See the usage instructions below:
      PREPARATION FOR USE:
      1. Wet lower end of electrode in tap water. Carefully remove the lower cap.
NOTE: The cap is used only for shipping and storage. You might want to keep it for later use.
      2. If air bubbles are present in the bulb area, shake downwards to displace any air bubbles in the bulb.
      pH MEASUREMENT:
      1. Thoroughly rinse the electrode tip in distilled water and insert electrode tip in a known buffer, close to the sample to be tested, along with an appropriate reference electrode.
      2. Adjust the ‘standardize’ control on the pH meter until the meter reads the value of the buffer.
      3. Thoroughly rinse the electrodes with distilled water, then insert the electrodes in the solution to be tested.
NOTE: The electrode tips should be rinsed in distilled water between each measurement to prevent contamination of the next solution.
      STORAGE PROCEDURES:
      1. For short storage (up to one week), the electrode may be placed in a beaker containing approximately 1 inch saturated KCl solution.
      2. For long-term storage (over one week), fill storage cap with KCl solution and place the cap back on the electrode tip.
The electrode may then be placed back in the box and stored.
