General description

HER2 (eceptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2) is a cell surface-associated glycoprotein tyrosine kinase receptor.

Biochem/physiol Actions

HER2 (receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2) is an oncogene and is up-regulated in breast cancer. Overexpression of HER2 is associated with uncontrolled cellular proliferation, resistance to apoptotic cell death and increased motility.

Physical form

Supplied in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2 5mM DTT, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mM PMSF, and 25% glycerol.
