Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. General description
Titanium(IV) oxide is a white colored compound, which can be used as a coloring pigment[3] in paints and a main ingredient of cosmetics and toothpaste.[4] It can be prepared via reaction of titanium(IV) chloride with oxygen gas.[3] It can also find applications in photovoltaics, photocatalysis and gas sensors.[5]
Application
- Structure, properties, production and photocatalytic processes of titanium (IV) oxide.: This study discusses the structure, properties, and production methods of titanium(IV) oxide, highlighting its photocatalytic processes which are essential in environmental applications such as pollutant degradation (Byts et al., 2023).
- Photocatalytic Activity of Radial Rutile Titanium(IV) Oxide Microspheres for Aerobic Oxidation of Organics.: This research investigates the photocatalytic performance of radial rutile TiO2 microspheres, modified with iron oxide clusters, in the aerobic oxidation of organic compounds, demonstrating their potential in environmental cleanup (Kojima et al., 2022).
- Photocatalytic degradation of textile dye with titanium (IV) doped tungsten oxide nanoparticles.: This study focuses on the photocatalytic degradation of textile dyes using Ti(IV)-doped tungsten oxide nanoparticles under visible light, highlighting their potential in water purification due to enhanced photocatalytic activity (Ranjin et al., 2024).

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?
1 answer-
If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

Is the TiO2 in rutile or anatase form in this specific product? And is this a micron powder?
1 answer-
The crystalline structure is anatase. The d50 particle size for this product has historically been between 2 and 3 microns, but that is an approximation and particle size information does not appear on the COA for the product.
