General description

Methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) amine-block-poly(L-lysine) (mPEG-PLL) is a cationic diblock copolymer consisting of amine-functionalized PEG and PLL that can be used in drug delivery applications. The cationic PLL block can bind to DNA or RNA, as well as other therapuetic agents, while the amine-functionalized PEG block can be further functionalized with targeting moieties for targeted and controlled drug delivery. This cationic diblock copolymer can self-assemble in the presence of a drug to form polymeric micelles and polymersomes.

Application

*Non-viral gene delivery application
*Targeted drug delivery application
*Protein coatings and tissue culture

Features and Benefits

*Self-assemble capability to form micelles and polymersomes
*Amine functional group at the side chain enables further rapid functionalization
*Cationic poly(L-lysine) has excellent DNA and RNA condensation property
*Biodegradable, biocompatible and water soluble

Copolymers as a kind of drug delivery carrier always lack targeting efficiency. So a peptide conjugated to a drug delivery system has attracted much attention for tumor-targeted nanomedicine. Thus, we here report a conjugation compound consisting of a copolymer (PEG-b-PLL)
