General description

Carnidazoles belong to the class of nitroimidazole compounds that are generally utilized for the treatment of various diseases in poultry, cattle and pigs.

Application

Carnidazole may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:
  • Eggs by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
  • Environmental water samples by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME), followed by micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC).
