General description

NCCD Reagent

Application

NCCD Reagent is intended exclusively for use in combination with the PromoCell Primary Cancer Cell Culture Medium D-ACF (C-28081). It allows for the culture vessel surface pre-treatment which is critical for the functionality of the Primary Cancer Cell Culture System.

Quality

All lots of PromoCell NCCD Reagent are subjected to comprehensive quality control tests. Each lot is routinely tested for functionality using a human cancer cell line in conjunction with the Primary Cancer Culture Medium D-ACF. In addition, all lots of media have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma).

Preparation Note

The NCCD Reagent is provided as a 20x stock and must be diluted to a working concentration before use. One 2 ml vial of NCCD Reagent yields 40 ml of ready-to-use working solution sufficient to treat 400 cm2 of culture surface, e.g. seven complete 6-well plates.Dilute the thawed NCCD Reagent stock solution 1:20 with PBS w/o Ca2+/Mg2+. Use 100 uL per cm2 of culture surface to treat the tissue culture vessel with the diluted NCCD Reagent and leave the closed vessel for at least 1 hour at RT. Make sure that the NCCD covers the entire vessel surface. Aspirate the NCCD solution just before seeding the cells.

Storage and Stability

Store at -20°C immediately after arrival. If stored properly, the product is stable until the expiry date stated on the label. Unless used immediately, the sealed vessel containing the NCCD Reagent may be stored for up to 3 months at 2 to 8°C for later use. Diluted NCCD Reagent solution may be stored for up to 4 weeks at 2 to 8°C. Protect from light.
